Tackers junior training program.
Davey's Bay Yacht Club is serious about teaching kids to sail and have fun at the same time. For several years now, we have been running a very successful sail training program. Tackers is run on Sunday mornings prior to Christmas as well as over four days in January.
The program caters to novice sailors with no prior sailing experience through to our race hardened kids. The program uses a mix of professional coaches and experienced sailors from our own membership.
Most kids sail in Optimist dinghies and many families own their own boats. The Club has four OziOptis (with the striped sails) and these are shared amongst the kids that don't have their own boat. To register for this years program, click here.

Sailed in Pacers and Lasers, this program is deigned to introduce new comers to the sport as well as further the skills of our intrepid group of parents and older kids.
