You can access the various documents here: NOR Entry Form Sailing Instructions
Athough we did not make it onto the water there was a lively forum between Mark Jackson, Sarah Blanck and the competitors, I am sure everyone gained at leat one piece of knowledge to work on.
Sunday 1st November proved challenging for the Flying Fifteens and Lasers, the wind shifted about 45 degrees half way up the first work which more or less produced a "soldiers course" Surprise and Goose took advantage of the shift and managed to round ahead of Wow! and Oomps. WoW! and Oomps overtook Goose on the next leg and that was the eventual finishing order. In the second race of the day the starting direction was E- SE but the wind was far from sure as to its direction. In very light airs Surprise and Goose took off on port tack while Wow!, Oomps and Tis Irish Luck favoured the starboard side. Port paid off and Surprise rounded well clear, Wow! squeezed past Goose just before the windward mark . Oomps passed Goose and Tis Irish Luck was in fifth place. Again most of the legs were soldiers until the penultimate leg which was a single tack beat. It was a question of maintaining weigh and Wow! did slightly better than most and managed to pass Surprise on the short leg to the finish, Oomps came third over the line followed by Goose and Tis Irish Luck.
